We're building the team
The deck is being dealt. The Fool's Journey — an immersive EDM musical staged as a real club night — is assembling its core team, and this post is the door.
One club. Two decades. One way out. A tarot-structured musical following one queer artist from 18 to 36 through New York's club underground: an original EDM and house score by Richard Maltese, contemporary dance-theatre, and environmental staging in the lineage of Cabaret's Kit Kat Club and Sleep No More. The script, lyrics and score are written and registered. What the show needs now is its people.
Who we're looking for. Producers and agents: people who know how to move an ambitious property from development to a room with a velvet rope outside.
Choreographers and movement directors: club vocabulary, circuit-culture memory, dance-theatre chops — the floor is the stage.
Designers, in set, lighting, costume and sound: the world is halftone and neon, photocopier glamour, strobe-lit silhouette, a flyer slipped into your hand on Christopher Street circa 2001.
Performers: actors who move, dancers who act, singers who can hold a drop — all roles open to any gender expression.
And venue and nightlife partners: spaces that can become The Club, and the people who know how to run a door.
If your work lives where music, dance and drama collide, tell us who you are and what you make. A link to your work is worth a thousand introductions: hola@thefoolsjourney.show.
Just curious? Join the waitlist — and be in the room when the doors open.
